About
Background:
Rachel Montoya was born and raised in the Wyoming desert. After graduating with her BA in English/Technical Writing and starting the post-grad job search, the Hampton & Newman office found her. She was recruited by now-retired attorney David Hampton and is the Legal Assistant for the firm’s Workers’ Compensation cases.
Extensively educated in research, writing, and editing, Rachel brings the ability to communicate complex information with clarity—ensuring each injured worker’s ability to advocate for themselves. Her goal for every client interaction is to give them hope and a plan.

Outside of Work:
Rachel enjoys indoor gardening, playing the piano, hiking the Wind Rivers, and visiting friends and family. If she’s not in the mountains or the kitchen, you can find her at the family library, working on her lifelong mission to read every piece of classic literature.
